Abigail Zettlemoyer is an undergraduate student of Environmental Science in her third year. Having come from the industrial zone of Southeast Michigan along the Great Lakes water system, she understands the importance of both human impact and environmental-focused contamination research. With a minor in Mathematics and a hobby of creative writing, Abigail is excited for the opportunity to intern for the Ramírez-Andreotta Integrated Environmental Science & Health Risk Laboratory as a member of the Earth Grant program with intentions of finding the specific intersection of science, mathematics, and writing relevant to her future goals. These goals include a strong desire to acquire a PhD in Environmental Science with an emphasis on toxicity. From this internship, she has the aim of participating in and contributing to meaningful research with positive impacts for the communities of and near Tucson.
