Camille Tinerella
Camille Tinerella is a senior double majoring in Chemistry and Environmental Science with an Emphasis in Physical and Chemical Dynamics. Originally from Minnesota, or better known as the Land of 10,000 Lakes, her passion for the environment was shaped by her early experiences in nature. Upon moving to Tucson, she was captivated by the desert's stark contrast and its unique biodiversity. In 2022, she joined Dr. Ramírez-Andreotta's lab through the UArizona NASA Space Grant Internship Program, where she studied the fate of toxic dioxin compounds in Arizona soils. Following her internship, she continued to work in the lab, deepening her understanding of environmental justice, soil and water quality, and the impacts of pollutants on ecosystems. Following her undergraduate career, she looks forward to continuing her research efforts in graduate school, where she aims to contribute to sustainable solutions and environmental conservation.
